Fantasia Barrino is the latest American Idol contestant to get the axe.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer has been dropped by her management but still remains contracted to J Records and has an option for a third album.
Barrino's 2004 debut, Free Yourself, sold more than 3 million copies, and her second album went gold and earned her three Grammy nominations.
In related news, beatboxing season 6 runner up Blake Lewis has also been dropped from Arista Records. Barrino and Lewis join other American Idol finalists Katherine McPhee, Taylor Hicks, and Rubben Studdard who have also seen their recording and management deals hit sour notes.
