Still no deal for SAG
July 1st 2008 15:36
The current contract for members of the Screen Actors' Guild expired Monday, but there are still no plans for a strike. More discussions are scheduled for Wednesday. Negotiations have been going on for five weeks, and the deal offered is similar to the one reached by the Directors' and Writers' Guild of America. A strike could cost the state of California up to $23 million a day. Actors are still working under conditions of the old contract.
